1. as well，as well as，not only…but also
as well是副词短语，意为“也，还”，一般放在句末，不可用于否定句。并列连词and，but可与as well搭配。as well as是并列连词，意为“既……又……”，“不仅……而且……”。A as well as B的意思是“不仅B而且A”，其强调重点在A。当as well as连接两个并列的主语时，谓语动词应与as well as前面的主语保持一致。not only…but also…也是并列连词，意为“不仅……而且……”，所强调的重点在后者。not only A but also B，可按词序翻译为“不仅A而且B”。not only…but also…连接两个并列主语并被置于谓语动词之前时，谓语动词应和后面的主语保持人称和数的一致。用not only…but also…连接两个并列的分句并且将not only置于句首时，前句主､谓语的位置要倒装。如：
I can see how English is used in everyday life as well.
我还可以看到在日常生活中是怎样使用英语的。
He is a worker and artist as well. 他是一位工人，又是一位画家。
The girl is lively as well as healthy. 这女孩既健康又活泼。
My parents as well as my elder sister enjoy music.
不仅我的姐姐喜欢音乐，而且我的父母也喜欢音乐。
I like playing not only basketball but also tennis.
我不仅喜欢打篮球，还喜欢打网球。
Not only my parents but also my brother likes him.
不仅我父母喜欢他，而且我哥哥也很喜欢他。
Not only is he himself interested in the subject but also all his students are beginning to show an interest in it.

2. watch out，look out，take care，be careful
这些短语意思相近，用法相似。 意思是“注意，提防，小心，当心”。都可以单独使用，以提醒对方注意。watch out和look out后跟注意的对象时须加介词for。take care和becareful都可接不定式的否定式或从句。如：
Watch out/Look out!A car is coming at you.
小心!一辆车向你冲来了。
Take care/Be careful!The pan’s hot. 当心!锅很烫。
Watch out for the dog. It may strike at you.
小心那条狗，它可能咬你。
Look out for your eyes when you do your homework.
你做作业时，要注意眼睛。
Do be careful/Take care not to break the jar.
千万当心不要打破这个罐子。
Take care that you should finish the job ahead of time.
注意你们都应该提前完成这项工作。
Be careful how you start the machine.
